Things to Help

There are many different things you can get to help with the effects of learning difficulties and help overcome them in order to learn as best as possible without the learning difficulty affecting you. I have found that being dyslexic myself that i benefit from different coloured overlay's. These overlays come in many different colours and everyone is different and therefore not everyone needs the same colours. As a parent of a child with a specific learning difficulty or someone who has a learning difficulty theirself, then these overlays are available from many sites online and specific learning disabilty shops. The colour overlay which i use is aqua. There are many different places online where you can buy a set of overlays from and therefore you can determine for yourself which colour you are best suited to and which one helps your reading that little bit better. I used to have coloured paper, however i find the overlays are better as i can simply put it over a page in a book and read as good as new.  

Here i have included some pictures of what overlays look like and what they are to be used for. Overlays can also be used for putting over the top of the computer screen.
